Name a North Carolinian.
Do I care to elaborate? No. I don’t.
Okay, I’ll elaborate a little. This is a very unscientific data-gathering process. In the past, I’ve asked you all to tell me where you’re most likely to get an ass-whuppin, or to merely name a North Carolina town. This helps me both understand something a little more about you, a person of sound mind who freely signed up for a newsletter called the North Carolina Rabbit Hole. But it also helps me understand a little more about this state. After all, if you hadn’t told me that the Huntersville Cook Out was a hangout for wannabe UFC fighters, I would not have discovered a Charlotte Observer story that was once entitled: “NC fighter who pooped in MMA ring gets sponsorship offers.” This state contains multitudes.
