A woman in Asheville requested new custom tags for her truck, but the state says it made a mistake and wants them back. Now, what started as a joke has turned, maybe, into a real organization.
What a fun story. I had GTFO for years but turned it in by mistake here in NC when I sold the truck. I then applied to get it again and was rejected. Good luck on keeping your great tag.
With all of the harshness and cruelty in the world today; with all the offensive bumper stickers; with the “F” word being shouted at people and used on shirts and bumper stickers and signs; with angry people driving aggressively; with hatred rampant and apparently acceptable and tolerated, and someone was offended by the word FART on a car license plate?! Give me a break!
Same thing happened to me.. I put in FART GAS in California on a lark and it got approved! I guess fortunately nobody’s complained yet.
Gotta remember: we're the side of the state that still plays Church music on nationally syndicated radio stations all Sunday long....
So yes, someone is going to make a stink about a silky tag.
There is also a road skills test to take and show your driving abilities.
