Zeb Ross works the overnight shift and didn't use social media. Then someone shot video of him clogging with his dance team at a festival. Millions of views later, he's just trying to keep it real.
Hello my name is Jason Jordan I am the guy that originally videoed Zeb and posted it on tiktok. As soon as I saw the dance I knew right away that I had to post this up. I never thought it would go as viral as it did but man did it take off. I wish him all the best and much success in life.
We live in Atlanta and went up to Bryson City North Carolina for a weekend getaway. One of the locals told us that there was a festival at Darnell farms. We headed over to spend the day. When we got there the J. Creek cloggers were already on stage and starting their performance so we sat down to take a watch. It didn't take me long after seeing Zeb dancing before I had to pull my phone out and start recording. The moves he was doing look so much like hip hop. I thought if I could take his moves and put to a hip hop track I think it would be a great video. After they got done I went up to him and introduced myself and ask him if I could use the video to post on my tictok. He agreed but had no idea what to tictok even was. After posting the video up and it getting thousands of views and likes within a week I finally got in contact with Him after doing some research. I first talked to his mom Kim. She informed me they had a Facebook but no tictok. She was excited to find out the video was going viral. And that's how it all began. Now the video has been shared thousands of times and has had millions of views. It has gone viral on my page along with several others on tictok platforms and others platforms. I recently told them I think they should take their dancing to America's got talent!!!
J Creek Cloggers are the only mountain traditional dance team listed in the Blue Ridge Heritage Directory. Our routines are based on that tradition. Clogging, Buck Dancing and Flat Footing are our go to style, and is incorporated into the routine, but the rythym is always the same. Dancing is a huge part of our individual lives and we do love to dance. It equals happiness that we share with others, while keeping our mountain tradition alive. Go Zeb! Hammer down team!
Jason, you gave the world a gift! I, for one, loved this from the first time I saw it. Zeb's facial expressions just sell his enjoyment of music and dance, his fluid movements are sensational and coupled with the team's jubilance, you captured perfection that the world may never have experienced. Thank you!
Zeb just embodies the joy that comes from dancing... he is an awesome clogger and an awesome guy! It is so cool to see something so positive and fun go viral! Go Zeb, Kim, JCreek Cloggers and dancers everywhere!
