North Carolina got a bit of attention recently over a small town's plan to use a cannon* to rid itself of buzzards. So, what can YOU do when nature's janitors come for you?
I worked at a company with a large wooded RTP campus. Before I retired at least one of the buildings had a vulture infestation. They liked to hang out and look inside conference rooms. They’re quite disgusting and disruptive, often ripping out rubber gaskets from the windows. And the volume of poop!
Now the Facilities guys get involved. Propane cannons were too disruptive. Plastic vulture replicas hind upside down had no effect. I saw some of the vultures sit on their fake brethren.
Eventually they left and I’m not sure why. Rumor was they had a federally licensed trapper remove them
