In 2006, a shipping container fell off of a vessel and washed thousands of bags of nacho chips ashore along Hatteras Island. Also, this newsletter is beginning its fourth year of existence.
So glad you're having fun. I am. I will point out as a subscriber, I don't pay for the subscription to get any preferential or early content. I pay to support this newsletter and say thanks. I'll guess most feel this way too. And yes, we all know the Doritos story is huge and always will be.
Hey, Jeremy, I heard you loud and clear when you spoke to ONLY ME at the end. I am happy to do my small part in keeping this free-wheeling mill of randomness grinding away. In fact, if you wanted to institute a tiered membership, where for a few (or a lot) more bucks I could get more personal attention (like I did in this one, where, again, you were speaking ONLY TO ME), I would happily pay that premium.
It'd be like flying first class, where you get to cluck your tongue sympathetically as the plebeians walk past into steerage, um, "main cabin." What I'm saying is, the Rabbit Hole is hands-down the best thing to hit my inbox each week. You can't put a price on that.
Ok, you can, and have, put a price on it, and it's a sweet deal. Please let us know if you'd consider additional rates that may include, for example, you making a personal appearance once a year to do a reading. Or maybe some juggling. You seem to be pretty good at that!
i'm one of the 7650 but really want to become part of the 288 (289?) soon. i live in CA but spend a month of my year in NC and i love learning fun stuff about my second state. even though i'm a freeloader (for now!), just wanted to say your newsletter is one of my faves and i hope you're able to continue it for years to come

I enjoyed your stories in Our State, and I enjoy your writing! I plan to keep on reading and subscribing to your work!
+1 on I subscribe to keep it going.
++1 Just gave my sister a subscription for Christmas so she can feel like she's helping keep the Rabbit Hole open too :)
Thank you! And thank her!
